Whenever your words lose merely casting a shadow of your meaning and veracity and instead disconnect completely from you to stand aside on their own from a position, completely separate and devoid from where you actually stand, you have lost your integrity.
That means, when you lie, you disconnect yourself from reality, from honesty, from the trust of those who listen to you, or who you lead, or who look to you for their protection and survival.
That is our POTUS today. And those also are who his people are and have become.
That means it is u up to us to correct ourselves and our standing, and theirs, in this world. Because others besides all of us are following what they do as a sign of what should be done.
Republicans...if you don't soon start calling a "cat" a "cat" when you see it, rather than claiming you see a "tiger" or a "mouse", you will soon find that the Wonderland you have built around yourselves is actually a prison, one that you built, brick by brick, and prick by prick.

It takes only a tiny spark in a powder keg to initiate great action.

Religion, when used as a tool of separatism, isolationism or denigration, is no longer a religion after all, but rather an ideology of divisive elitist, tribal supremacism. When it reaches that point, it then seeks to invade government, to control citizens and to guarantee its growth above and beyond that of all other opposing or even parallel "religions". Welcome to America... today. 9/26//2019

Wearing the flag loudly has little to do with bearing the flag proudly. And need it to be said, appropriately?

Even they who continue to deny that a "car crash" is about to happen eventually has to acknowledge it one way or another,, for, by the end of the journey, whether they agree or not, one kind of disassembly or another will be their one and perhaps final acknowledgment.

The path to Truth is at times a laborious a zigzag. Should you ever find it in via a straight-line direct to Conviction, you've surely not earned the divine corroborator of Certainly. The Zealot so typically finds that straight line as a beacon and a validation. But therein lay chaos and insanity.

"As Hitchcock once said, one need only a keen eye, an agile mind and no scruples whatsoever to win. But there surely is another route...if one merely has a bully's keen eye for the practices and pretenses of such. That is to say, a bully allowed to run rampant, carelessly exerting either power and/or vast sums of money, or merely the very pretenses of money. Because truly, as most despots and tyrants know, that is really all there is to the other route."
Atheism - A word indicating an existential conception of life, invented and incorrectly abused by theistic types to indicate those they oppose who came before them who were/are based in reality and actuality rather than forced and imposed worship of imagined mythologies using magical thinking.

One of humankind's most powerful abilities is the seemingly occult capability to listen to someone speak even with or especially with very little content in it.
And yet be able to find the brilliance and useful, within it.
To take that kernel of wisdom, and to go on to produce acts of genius from it.
It's a talent we have to cultivate.
One that so many are never even aware of all through their lives.
Except perhaps for a moment here or there.
When, in reality, we are surrounded by it.
Apparently, we're redefining what it means to have "intellect "and "open mind" as we now have people proud to open their minds to ignorance, disinformation, lies, and absurdities as reality.

In simple conditions, two can indicate a pattern. That one point and the other indicates a ray or a track; at times, even a path with a direction. Time can indicate the direction, and although it is another it's still in another dimension so not really.
In typical conditions, three indicates a pattern. And with time, the direction.
There are situations however where one indicates a pattern and even without time, can show its direction.

If you do something, complete it. If you complete it, repeat it.

Every problem is an opportunity to excel in an unexpected direction

The issue truly is when others have no boundaries and intrude unwanted.
One can have no boundaries, setting them as is appropriate if one wisely polices one's own actions.
Which could be considered boundaries, but limits one's existence. It is only when inappropriately overstepping into another's boundaries where life becomes abusive...or a wonderful thing for all involved.
Religion is many things, both good and bad. But it isn't truly stupid until it forces itself onto others. And its followers aren't truly themselves stupid until they force it upon others.

I find our biggest issues are that Americans do not understand our government, and they do not understand Americans.

IF one first eliminates all the now understood psychosocial reasons leading to the beliefs in deity, religion suddenly vanishes in a gentle puff of humane effluences. As if it were never there.

Which is greater? The pleasurable Right? Or, the painful Right? That answer, defines you.

Religion is humanity's first and greatest form of Entertainment.
It's been said however that the oldest profession is prostitution.
If so then the second is Priesthood.
And third is stage manager.
They also say you shouldn' live your life through your entertainment.
Consider for a moment video game addicts doing nothing but video games. Or heroin or meth addicts.
Now consider for another moment Islamic Jihadists. Or extreme Christians. Or the KKK. You get the idea.
Just consider all that for a moment...
In joining together with that of poor quality, in resolution or support, you lower your own and eventually will become that which you associate with.

Hope. It saves us from destruction.
As it drives us to destruction.
Our meta hope is, it saves us more than it destroys us.

The absurdity of love is greater than the logic of non-love.

We are after all our own currency in denominations of our own making.

And in their ignorance, they sided with enemies of Humanity over that of their own personal demons.

Perhaps the scariest thing is Truth. To pursue it, to find it, to react appropriately to it. If only we could all adhere to is, things would be more difficult, life would be less affluent, but the existence of us all would be more equal, more decent, and more liveable.
All you want when you're going to be a parent is to be a good parent. To be as good as, or in other cases, better than...the joy and nightmare you're own parents were to you.
And then...you have kids.
And you may find, you have stepped into a world beyond worlds.
Because your kids are a parenting experience you could never have been prepared for. Not from your experience, not by your parent's example, not by anything you ever learned in between.
But if you've done a good job, you're kids are alive and well today, well-liked and even happy to talk to you to say,
"I had a good day today."

Strive to improve your own personal best because you are the one you really need to work to be better than.

We need to raise our job and career motivations and potential toward the future rushing at us, not decrease those back into a past that is quickly dropping away.

It's good to follow your own counsel... unless that's all you can hear.

Conservatives, drinking deeply this gathering gloom...your superficial beliefs are supplanted by enemies far and near, who have thickly varnished your understanding of the world around us, to the detriment of us all.

Religion is like fiction or art. Interesting, at times fascinating, sometimes horrifying, sometimes incredibly beautiful. At times all-consuming and yet, you can live quite a good life without it. At times, raising humanity up to more than it could be, at times lowering it far lower than it could even have conceived of by itself.

We have become more knowledgeable as a species, but less educated. And some, praise that fact about themselves. Which is just embarrassing to humanity.

When, and who shot Socratic Method in the face? And no, it's not a person, it's a method for debate and learning. Where one does not use other than fact and reason and cooperation.

We all need to judge people by their character, not their ancestry, sexual orientation or religion (or even having one, or not), and do our very best to have compassion for their opinions.
I know, I know that sounds funny. But if we do not, then we are setting all of us up for us vs them, and then here we are all over again.
However, having compassion, does not mean you have to agree with anyone. Especially when dealing with some, who weaponize their opinions...of yours. But to always look for common ground and then to bridge those gaps whenever possible, and to simply know when to walk away.
Remember, another's delusions does not mean you have to destroy yourself to disprove them, or to prove yourself.
I get no pleasure out of forcing someone to tell the truth, or to prove them, liar.
Once I realize they are lying they have lost some of my respect.
Once I realize they are a liar, they lose my respect.
Once I realize they are that way by nature, for their own satiation and benefit, I lean into them, against them, and they become the enemy of my people, my country, my species.

Faith isn't the goal. It's merely one potential process to an end most people aren't even aiming toward.

Politics requires one to take a half step beyond what should be needed to evoke change. Republicans today have misinterpreted that as a walk, as apposed to a step. And a half step at that.

Here's what's going on with Republicans about this wall.
War they say, is failed politics.
So is an America border wall
Conservatism, as practiced today in American politics, especially if paired with religion, is an easy precursor to social, if not mental, ill health.

We have to take the good when it comes. We have to know when to deny the "good" when it comes. Too many aren't wise enough to know it. Too many aren't strong enough to deny it.

Extremism is the realm of weak minds. It's why it always pairs so well with conservatism. Those who argue it is at times necessary are merely comparing a new reality with its predecessor. Or they are looking for an excuse to expand unnecessarily into extremism as for many it is a condition that is pleasurable to satiate, to become addicted to.

One should try to look beyond the "reality" they perceive before them, to clearly see the alterations and associations, both random and succinct, in order to see what they are otherwise, to some if not many, clearly missing.
If there were only absolutes in life, there'd be no writers, no dramatists.

War is the last refuge of obtuse politicians. It is always useful to note who tends to lean toward war, and then lean away from them.

Go out of your house, meet others, not like you, travel the world. It's a huge benefit to being human that too many deny themselves this wealth of reality.

After a lifetime of rational discussion and debate, with the most factual information, where logic on things, wins arguments, to be in this world where idiots, lies and illogic think they should rule.
Bigotry isn't really a natural response to failure. You really have to work at it.

Looking at your bigotry in a fresh light usually helps make clear you're a bigot.
