When "focus" becomes "purity", a sane & rational person begins to lose their focus.
While a bigot gains it.
America is confusing to EVERYBODY lately.
Why?
Because its finally emotionally become an aware "teenager" where everyone seems to be a cultural warrior.
Eventually, we will mature into a place where we can discover how to be relevant, how to be aware of reality, of actuality, and how not to allow a blurred unreality to continue, all while not abusing one another.
Never get disturbed or angry about new information contrary to beliefs.
Get calm, review it, prove it wrong...or correct.
So much disinformation is quickly & easily disproved.
And if you find it's not, it's not disinformation.
Stupid is the WD-40 of ignorance.
War, it has been said, is failed politics.
Stop failing in politics as a career goal.
Politics which require informed, involved, bright people, informed decisions, diminishing greed along with efforts in Many & Varied areas.
With Humanity & Decency as goals.
I swear to the "God of the Diminished Capacity", I have a 40 pound fly in my house I cannot find either to release into the wilderness, or exsanguinate through crushing by blunt force trauma.
To call oneself "self educated" is nice, "cute" even. But it's not the same as structured education. A nd for a reason as it's "structured", over time, peer reviewed & honed to being most effective.
Those truly self educated are Unique Individuals.
And that is NOT most of us.
Universities have Professors (PhD's/Doctorates) who study for years in structured education to become educated, then teach others through Socratic method.
Today everyone's a "professor" professing about things they know little about, other than emotion.
One first needs (accurate..ACCURATE) knowledge (information) and then one can have empathy hopefully leading to compassion, or at least, understanding.
Try to understand that your ignorance, is not my stupidity.
The problem we're facing today is not that we need law enforcement around... but that we NEED law enforcement.
Live every day like your last and one day you'll be the very most right you could ever be.
Religion & prejudice & tribalism once raised us up, protecting us.
But we evolved beyond that.
Some of us now grip onto those childish ways to the point of, if not our, then the destruction of others.
We can stop that.
But some prefer instead to profess their elevation.
Life, is a dance. If you refuse to change when the music does, you're simply not dancing to the music playing.
The false bravado of cowards banding together, can dangerously equal just enough courage to act.
Most times, the righteous are wrong. And there is nothing as dangerous as the righteous.
While a bigot gains it.

We exist in a photograph, a mere slice in time, but have convinced ourselves that we exist in a movie, merely because of reality.

The oldest cultures are not human.
We, most of us, most the time, forget that.
Or don't care.
Or worse (and some think, better), don't care we don't care.
To be clear, being "woke" is merely about engaging brain cells.

And to profit from it.
So who's more the fool?
Let 2021 be the beginning of many changes from the diseases we all experienced in 2020. Those of a deadly virus and that of the deadly branches of racism, bigotry and ignorance.
Humans cannot survive without the buffer of delusion.
The trick to survival of the species is to be deluded in the lightest ways possible and the most positive ways possible.
Donald Trump is a perfect example, in all the wrong and many of the worst ways possible.
The Human Psyche is an incohesive piece of mental material made of its own warp & weft ("fill"). A therapist's, & our job as individuals is to "see" that weave, its too loose areas, its tightly knotted areas... to then more appropriately pull together or loosen them.

We already have...Social Media. As well as the powers and intellect behind them, all driven by profit on their side and a lack of understanding and restrictions on the other.
When you condense a war into one or a few? Think about that! All that violence and RESPONSIBILITY? In ONE or a few individuals? Just THINK about that!

I do not understand people voting for President Smoke and Mirrors when behind the scenes is NOT even the Wizard of Oz, but a serial killer.
Only continuing "light" and education will eliminate the foul in us all. And yes, some of us are just lost souls and always will be.
All we can do really, is to offer others reality. It is up to them to either immerse themselves in it, or to revel in their filters and bubbles. To cower in the embrace of their tribe, or courageously stride into the future to be judged by history and humanity. If not one day, themselves. And if they're decision is wrong, hopefully, one day by themselves.

Worldwide today we are the most knowledgeable humans in history; but at a very shallow depth of information, understanding, and awareness.
Knowledge is power; but too little knowledge is simply destructive.
When I was younger, I had a devil and an angel sitting on each shoulder. Now that I am older, I AM that angle and that devil. And yes, I was then too, when I was younger. Only now, I know it. I know others too now, who have no clue they ARE those two, watching, reveling, on their shoulders.

That is what Black Lives Matter, means.
It is NOT however what All Lives Matter, means.
No matter what those who mouth those words wish to believe.
Sound is to film, like aroma to fine wine or culinary delights.
History will show that those who had the most to lose, did the least to stop Donald Trump. And because of that, we all have already all lost so very much.
Whenever we accept a Great Delusion into our heart, it permeates our Being, making easier the acceptance of Lesser Delusions. Even if darkness resides in it from its first letter onward. Making it, therefore, an ever greater delusion between the two.
I've got to admit, I've said and done some pretty stupid things in my life. I could perhaps write an entertaining unbelievable but true short book about it. But at least I did not make a career of it.
Though that does seem to be the thing to do with far too many of late.
The only thing worse than selective ignorance, is selective intelligence.
We're all Americans, some just have less information.
And less desire to root out the truth, than others.
And some a desire to call the truth lies and push lies as truth.
I always prefer to be correct, than merely right.

I was told once that a writer's job in dialog is to write so that the reader or listener knows what is coming next, can almost say the line themselves. But to write it in such a way so that the reader is pleased, intrigued, and maybe tickled when they perceive what you're written.
A fundamental problem with conservatism is its belief, based on tradition and a usually romanticized past. In never letting go. Even in the face of reality. Even in the face of one's own destruction, or even in that of many others.

Why is it so difficult for people to understand there is far more value in a wise person's uncertainties, than that of the certainties of a fool'? As social creatures, simply our inclinations toward peer pressures.
Not all ordinary disturbances bring ordinary things.
If one is truly spiritual, what is religion but a mere distraction and disorientation?
Conspiracy theorists are right, there is a conspiracy. It's called humanity. More specifically, society. And they, like it or not, are a part of it.
Trump GOP: Freedom is the absence of choice.
Dems/MostIndependents: Freedom is being able to look at oneself in the mirror each day without disgust at being overly self-involved while others suffer who could quite easily be helped, protected, or kept from dying due to lack of money or privilege.
Apparently, we need a viral mental (not brain) cancer that eats the current viral mental cancer that is going around the planet and this country.
Let's none of us forget that, we are the race of beings who until not that long ago historically speaking, would literally murder someone as a mob, if they spoke out against magical make-believe invisible beings who lived in the sky, or a tree, or a pond.
It's also important to note that many of those times in "speaking out against", those murder victims were merely referring to and trying to get people to relate to...reality. But I know, I know, not to worry. Your God is obviously the One True God!
Stupidity (ignorance and ego-stroking) is HUGELY profitable.
Let us lay this to rest once and for all... if sarcasm is the lowest form of something, then perhaps it is that of social decorum. Which is, in this case, is far too often is mistaken for, wit. Those who find it the lowest form of wit, typically are those unable to form proper and entertaining sarcasm. Especially at the point of a moment of need, or more greatly so, desire.
Love is agreeing on a premise, usually unspoken, regardless and not infrequently opposed to, reality. Until that premise breaks...
What concerns me most is if we fail to hear one another, there will be blood. And then logic, and reason and humanity, will all suffer the worse for it. We are at a time where at least one of our leaders, is leaning on that as a preferred force and as an eventuality not for common profit, but rather for that of an individual and his and his group's defective ideology.
So if I understand this correctly, if we're in a "Matrix" and you say you're "spiritual", then what that means is, you're addicted to, or obsessed with (focused on?) your metadata.
Sitting here watching The Irish Comedy Tour. Now, I don't know if it's having been raised Catholic, my incessant overthinking of all things obvious, my ADD or, just my general mistrust of all things pleasant. But, whenever I laugh at anything longer than three seconds I begin to wonder if I'm really doing it genuinely, or simply out of peer pressure.
Even though not infrequently there is only my esteemed self, a shot of much more esteemable Jameson, and a pint of genuinely esteemed Guinness there in the room with me.
One of those times where the belief that two's company, three's a crowd is just utter nonsense.
We have always been and are still living in two very different Americas. I would however much prefer not the Donald Trump version because there are obviously others in this country besides myself being abused, and I merely recognize that, and their needs, and their reality.
Here's the single simple problem with tribalism. IF you're fighting ONLY for YOUR tribe, you're not.
